Hi there!

     I've had dogs my entire life, and long before photography became my career, I was training, working with, and learning from them. One of my proudest accomplishments was training my Rottweiler to become a therapy dog before he was two years old. When I picked up my first camera in 2018, I knew I wanted to photograph dogs, so I began volunteering at the local SPCA, taking photos of adoptable animals to help them find homes. Looking back, I was learning photography and dog photography at the same time, often with some of the most challenging subjects imaginable. Shelter dogs don't care about posing, lighting, or whether your camera settings are right. They taught me patience, timing, adaptability, and how to work with the dog in front of me instead of expecting them to fit a plan. Those lessons still shape every session I photograph today.     



One of the specialties closest to my heart is end-of-life photography, also called Rainbow sessions. In 2023, I lost my own heart dog, Kenzie. Before losing her, I had photographed several families saying goodbye to their beloved companions and knew I wanted those memories for myself as well. Having experienced both sides of the camera, I understand just how important those photographs become.

     Outside of photography, I'm raising an autistic little boy who reminds me every day that there is no single right way to experience the world. Between motherhood, a lifetime of loving dogs, and years spent photographing them, I've learned that patience, flexibility, and meeting people and animals where they are matters far more than perfection ever will. Those values are at the heart of every session I photograph.
